John 20:19-23.A few years ago in Morgan City, Louisiana, I attended a charismatic renewal. I saw and heard the Holy Spirit speaking praise to God (in ways I would never have thought of) through the mouth of a man at the service. Others only heard garbled sounds from his mouth. Then I was slain in the spirit, but others said no, it is because you are 8 months pregnant and your A/C is broken. Other things happened and I began to doubt. So I asked God in prayer if what I had seen was true. Two nights later I heard a small quiet voice speak to me. I simply said "John 20:20." Three times. The third time I said all right and looked it up in the bible. It is the part in the bible when Jesus came to Mary and the disciples after he rose from the dead. Please read John 20:19-23. I now know that what I had seen was true. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are still alive today. God is the true God and His son Jesus Christ is the true savior of the world. Not only did he answer my question in kindness. He did not fuss at me. Rather, he made absolutely certain I would understand. For what is 20:20 in today’s language? It means perfect vision.
